Editing with CUPS ` week 14

I love the way the tech class has worked hand in hand with my TIPS training. I don't think it was actually meant to do that, but it did! One way that the students in my class are able to evaluate there work is by using a technique called editing with CUPS. Editing with CUPS is a technique that I was introduced to in TIPS. Yeah TIPS! After finishing a writing assignment my students edit their work using the acrostic CUPS ~ Capitalization, Usage, Punctuation, and Spelling.  Students use a different colored marker for each part.

App Showcase ~ Week 10

The following are some apps that I thought were kind of neat. eMagnifer is a magnifying glass app that  would be great for using in a science lesson. The app allows you to magnify objects up to 8x and then photograph them. The images can then be saved, tweeted, or shared on facebook. Grade Level: preschool - High School  Cost: Free

The next app is Fun Letters Cursive Writing. This app would be great for students that are just learning to write in cursive or students that are struggling with cursive writing and need additional practice.  It allows allows students to practice matching the cursive letter with a picture. Grade Level: 3-5  COST: Free
